A brilliant character-based, high-tension, "sci-fi for sci-fi fans" movie. Why didn't critics like this? Do I read to much?

So I'd planned on seeing this just because it's Danny Boyle, but I was a little concerned that the trailer gave away the whole show. Is it still worth watching even if I'm pretty sure I know what happens at the end?
